A life well lived. Oddly enough that has been my goal since age 13. At 59 I can clearly state the goal is being realized. Not only in life but in my music.
Starting to write songs at age 17 and recording my first “album” that year with a pair of cassette recorders set me on a life long journey. The Muse waxed and waned in the early years but has been steady for the last two decades.
Combining a rich and vivid imagination with training in guitar through the Royal Conservatory of Music and drawing on a performance background ranging from the bar cover bands scene to choral accompaniment has led to the unique sound that forms the backbone for LATHANZIA. The songs on “Black Smoke Rising” range from rockers to ballads to epic stories.
Bringing the music that I hear in my mind to life as a solo project required expanding into bass, keys, drums and vocals. Over the years I have taught myself mixing and mastering to produce the final tracks.
In 2019, LATHANZIA will be releasing a full length CD “Rock, Paper, Tree”. First “Book” in a story arc with many more to come.
